Frequently Asked Questions about our Pedestal Mailboxes
What kind of preparation can I do before my mailbox arrives? Prepare an area approximately 22” wide x 24” long (front to back). You will need to have this area flat and level. You can either pour a concrete slab 2” – 4” deep or place concrete blocks in the area or if you wish, just leave alone.
How do I install my mailbox? This depends on how you prepared your flat and level surface. If you poured a slab or put down a row of concrete blocks, you can do the following: Place a bead of exterior construction adhesive around the bottom of the mailbox and stand the box up on the slab. If you did not pour a slab or put down blocks, simply stand the mailbox up on your flat and level surface.
What kind of warranty comes along with my mailbox? The mailbox pedestal has a warranty of 1 (one) year. This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship but does not cover hairline cracks or small cosmetic abnormalities.
Can I move my mailbox if I don’t like where I first put it? Yes, you can move it as many times as you want. You may want to check with your mail carrier or postmaster for the best location.
Can you do a custom color on a mailbox? Sure……….send us a sample of the color you want and a crisp $100.00 bill and we’ll do your custom color.
Do you offer a larger interior mailbox? Each mailbox pedastal comes with a standard size mailbox. For an additional $12, you can upgrade to a large mailbox (except for the Boardwalk pedestal which is only available with the standard box). The large box is pictured with the Classic Brown Aged Brick.
Do you offer a newspaper slot as an option? Yes, the newspaper slot is available with all of our pedestals.
How much do your mailboxes weigh? Approximately 180 Lbs.
